If I just type, “La la la la la” no one will know what the hell I’m talking about.
Today is a two pill day, wrought with a crapton of hip pain, so I’m not entirely sober… and I’ve only got 5 left. At least they lasted, what, 3 weeks? That’s good right? 30 pills lasting 3 weeks? I think so. Especially since 1 pill kinda doesnt do shit.
That’s not the point of this post.
I saw the midwives today. The Jellybean is still breech, but a little transversy as well. As if she’s thought about turning head down, but in the middle of acting upon that thought, she got tired and fell asleep. Her feet are firmly on my cervix, though. I didnt need a picture to know that. We got to see her toes, feet, face, hands, lungs attempting to breathe… it was a fantastic ultrasound day. Except for the whole, ya know, breech thing.
So the midwives told me that they’re gonna give me till next week, and then we’re scheduling the c-section. They asked that the Korean Medicine Lady try something called the Webster Technique on me tomorrow at physical therapy. They also told me to get acupuncture. Uh, yeah, I’m gonna go ahead and lie and say I did on that one. I’m not going back to Dr. Burning Man.
I might also be in a documentary. Discovery Channel is filming a thing on midwifery and were shooting in our office, today. They were all, “Oo! Breech! Ultrasound!” and now me and M and the Jellybean have agreed to have our likeness owned by Discovery Studios forever and ever, in perpetuity.
No seriously, it said that.
In other news, the Monkey got super sick last night. As in, puking her guts and crapping water. I felt so bad for her. M came home from nightshift to help out and we treated her with benadryl for nausea and vomiting, ibuprofen for the stomach cramps, and pedialyte to prevent dehydration. She woke up around 8:30am, ravenous and in a much happier mood. She’s been like that all day. I’m so glad she’s not feel crappy, anymore. And that we were able to get her turned around so quickly. Poor thing was so sad and scared, last night. Ugh, I dont wanna relive it.
Anyway, so yeah. That’s been the last 24 hours.
Let’s see what tomorrow brings.
